SEASON'S GREETINGS

from

Dear Sir/ Madam

On behalf of the entire Kynetec and Kleffmann team, I would like to send you Season's Greetings!

As we reflect on 2019, we have much to be thankful for - especially our dedicated and growing team and our strong relationships with our clients. As such, we want to express our gratitude by continuing to give back to our industry.

This year, we will be making a donation to support a Farm Africa project in Uganda - Commercialising the Chilli Value Chain.

Agriculture is the backbone of Uganda's economy, providing jobs to 70% of the population and providing 50% of the country's export revenue

In particular, the African bird's eye (ABE) chilli is in huge demand on the global market, with demand outpacing the supply.

With this Farm Africa program, small-scale chilli farmers will be able to meet the need and fulfill their market potential.

 Objectives include:

  1. To increase the yields of 3,000 small-scale chilli farmers by providing agronomic training about improved soil and water management and post-harvest handling

  2. To increase the standards of produce by training in Global GAP standards so that they can meet buyer requirements

  3. To help chilli farmers access high-quality inputs, by training young people to make chilli drying racks and best practice use of fertilisers and pesticides

  4. To support growers to enter international markets by achieving certification and providing tailored training in finance and management

  5. To improve access to finance for chilli farmers and small agribusinesses by making connections to village-level banks and providing financial literacy and business skills training

With this donation, Kynetec and Kleffmann are supporting our industry. This contribution is in lieu of sending a gift to our clients (a tradition in some countries), but it is our sincere hope that you will support our decision to provide funding to this worthwhile project.

We look forward to continuing our relationship in the future.
With very best wishes for a fulfilling 2020.

Kind regards,

Daniel Wirth
COO, Kynetec
